About

BioShock® Infinite, developed by Irrational Games, won over 75 editorial awards at E3 2011, including the Game Critics Awards’ Best of Show. In this first-person shooter set in 1912, the player assumes the role of former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, who is sent to Columbia to rescue a young woman named Elizabeth. DeWitt learns to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harnesses the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities. Of-course we were excited when Irrational Games approached Cimarron Digital to create an online destination for fans to read news, stay connected to the game developers, view screen shots as they became available, view game videos, and more. The key task on the structural side was to create a clear navigational experience that could fit a variety of different types of content, grow and expand as more content becomes available, and also be viewed on a variety of digital devices. Styling and color treatment of framing devices and navigational elements needed to stay true to the look of the game, readability of all text, and ability to view video as large as possible was also of outmost importance to this project.
